currently seek to cover the position of

Accountant

Job Purpose:

Operate and maintain all accounting practices applicable under the law, including obligations, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, and wages. It is responsible for the immediate registration of all accounting documents and other general ledger entries directly to the company's accounting system.

Key Accountabilities of the Role:

  • Gather financial data and ledgers
  • Consolidate and analyze financial statements and results
  • Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Post directly in the accounting system the invoices from suppliers.
  • Post directly in the accounting system the receipts from customers and the payments to suppliers
  • Completion of the relevant declarations to the tax authorities.
  • Manage periodical reporting
  • Oversee external and internal audits
  • Analyze finances to determine risks and create forecasts
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Management of the company's cash.
  • Compilation of quarterly contracts, the company statements and submit them to the tax authorities.
  • Agree the balances with customers and suppliers.
  • Inventory of the warehouse and the agreement of the general accounts on a stock level.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience as an Accountant and preferably 2 years experience in the hospitality industry
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
  • In-depth experience in risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and finance software
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Organizational and leadership skills
  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
