Bistro W&F Chef
The Role:
The Chef is responsible for the preparation and service of hot and cold dishes in the Bistro Wine Food Restaurant, collaborating the team-members and for carrying out ordering and stock.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Professional qualification from an accredited culinary school
- Min. 4 years of experience in a related restaurant
- Adaptability to operating standards and efficiency
- Excellent and thorough knowledge primarily of the Italian cuisine, Mediterranean cuisine and also of international cuisine
- Creative, innovative, and with a genuine passion for the culinary arts
- Thorough working knowledge of risotto, pasta, hot and cold food preparation
- Read and employ math skills for following recipes, and work towards minimizing food wastage
- Visually inspect, select and use only the fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, fowl and other food products of the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items
- Hands-on approach, flexible, with a positive attitude
- Cost aware and with excellent numerical skills
- Good knowledge of English language, second language will be considered as an advantage
