Captain - Restaurant Supervisor

As a Captain-Restaurant Supervisor you will be responsible to ensure that guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. Meet the team

As a Captain-Restaurant Supervisor, you will be part of the F&B team. We work every day to improve and learn, while we have committed to continuous training and personal development of each member of the team.As our people are our greatest asset, we’ve got to have strong people who are passionate about what they do.

What is the challenge?

  • Implementing agreed upon food & beverage policy and procedures throughout the property
  • Attending pre- and post-convention meetings as needed to understand group needs
  • Participating in the management of department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals
  • Ensuring compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards and procedures
  • Maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
  • Interacting with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • Responding effectively to guest problems and complaints

 

To be successful in this role, your experience should include

  • 3 years working experience in a similar position, preferably in luxury hotel environment
  • Excellent use of English. Excellent use of Spanish or French will be considered as an asset.
  • Knowledge of wine is a strong asset
  • Strong understanding of operational controls, budgeting and scheduling
  • Communication skills and effective complaint handling
