Doorman/Groom

We are looking for a new member to join our operations team at Academias, an Autograph Collection Hotel.
We are building a team of dedicated professionals who are interested in growing with us in the long run.

Autograph Collection Hotels are independent hotels of the Marriott Hotel Chain, with their own brand ethos and identity
that make them exactly like nothing else – no two Autograph Collection Hotels are the same.

Job offer requirements

• Experience in hospitality, preferably 1-2 years in a similar position
• Ability to multitask
• Strong communication skills
• Team player and problem solver
• Positive attitude

Main duties

• Welcomes and greets guests and assists with luggage.
• Checks the lobby area at all times (doors, floors, windows, etc.) as well as the sidewalks in front of the entrance and keeps it clean.
• Assists guests with directions and transportation arrangements if needed.
• Knows all property offerings as well as local area.
• Is aware of all room features and able to assist with any guest's request.

To be successful in this role, you will have to:

• be open and interested towards our training, scheduling, evaluating, and counseling with discipline and at the same time remain driven by motivation.
• be well groomed and articulate in fluent Greek and English at all times.
• be willing and able to absorb our principles with accountability and professionalism and comply with all Marriott standards.
• welcome and acknowledge all guests according to our principles (personalized relationships) by anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
