Corfu Holiday Palace ***** hotel, is seeking for a dynamic:

Hotel General Manager

Job description:

The General Manager we are looking for will function as the primary and strategic business leader of the hotel, responsible for all aspects of day to day operations. He/She will oversee the hotel’s operation and management of staff, work according to a pre-agreed budget, as well as aim for increased customer satisfaction and higher RevPar. Goals also include the improvement of online reviews/ratings and strengthening of the hotel’s reputation and sales function. In addition, the General Manager will promote the business and build strong relationships with key customers and partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct and coordinate the delivery of all departments in order to meet and exceed the hotel’s budget targets
  • Ensure that costs are controlled and minimized across departments and that results are analyzed regularly to highlight problem areas and take appropriate action
  • Manage budgets, prepare revenue proposals and forecast results
  • Ensure high online review/ratings
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of all departments (FO, F&B, Maintenance and IT among others)
  • Build strong relationships with partners and sector leaders
  • Find ways to improve guests’ expectations and experience
  • Negotiate and confirm new and repeat business through various efforts to maximize RevPar
  • Identify and secure business to fit the yield strategy
  • Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards
  • Inspect and document repairs to ensure optimum upkeep and overall property condition
  • Lead by example to build morale and spirit

Requirements:

  • Experience in 5* Hotel Management position of at least 3 years
  • A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
  • Fluent English required, second language preferred
  • Experience in hotel software
  • Experience in sales
  • Strong consumer service skills
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
