International Presales Engineer - Cloud Computing Company

On behalf of our client, a Cloud Services Provider and Distributor with clients around Greece and abroad,we are currently looking for an aspired and technically skilled Presales Engineer to join their commercial team working in their Athens office and assist the organisation to further boost its emerging growth.

Role Summary

You will act as the main technical point of contact for existing and prospect customers. You will leverage your technical expertise to assist the company’s sales team and its partners to create long-term relationships with a wide range of international customers and meet existing and upcoming customers' needs. You will confer, sometimes from a distance, along with the Sales Account Manager or a partner, with prospect customers to assess business needs and to present technical solutions. You shall be able to prepare offers and deliver presentations to present and explain the solution demonstrating how the customers' needs can be fulfilled from a technical POV. You will also be responsible for identifying and clearly communicating internally new feature opportunities, driving the services roadmap forward.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with sales team and partners to understand customer requirements, understand customers’ existing and prospective infrastructure needs and to bring opportunities to sales closure.
  • Work with the engineering and product management team to develop technical solutions concepts and proposals
  • Develop customer and solution specific material to present the technical proposals
  • Understand the customers’ technology challenges, options and business drivers
  • Contribute to the customers’ thinking and design by capitalising upon broad technical knowledge of storage, computing, virtualization and cloud
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of company’s value proposition, technology and services roadmaps
  • Work closely with other internal teams, exchanging technical and market expertise, customer feedback and competitive information.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • BSc in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related qualifications
  • Genuine interest in computer science, storage architectures and cloud services
  • Minimum two (2+) years’ experience in IT integrators or Cloud services providers in technical sales or presales role function
  • Awareness of current trends in cloud services, virtualisation and storage
  • Good understanding of the cloud services industry and cloud-based technology solutions
  • International exposure will be considered a great asset
  • Ability to match business requirements to product features
  • Ability to provide compelling presentations and product demonstrations utilizing also online meeting and web conferencing tools
  • Ability to accurately communicating specific customer requirements to internal teams or partners
  • Excellent command of the English language (fluent oral and written) is essential
