Upcom ltd is looking to hire an experienced Linux Administrator (UPC170401) on behalf of its client. Its client is a leading multinational company with global presence and large and multidimensional portfolio of projects including some of the most established and prestigious companies within the Greek landscape.

The role:

The successful candidate will be part of the on site consultants/administrators team providing day to day support on the operations of a complex IT environment consisted of many different platforms and facilitated by a large farm of virtual (mainly) servers using relevant modern technologies and tools. Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

Technical Framework:

  • Linux administration regardless of platform/edition
  • Websphere (or equivalent application server) management (configuration)
  • DB2 (or equivalent RDBMS ) management(configuration)
  • Basic network configuration

Processes/operational Framework:

  • Apply and comply with Security and risk management processes
  • Apply and comply with Service Management processes

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree from University or Technical Education Institute(AEI, TEI, or certified IEK – A Masters degree will be considered a plus)
  • At least 2 years experience on Linux administration
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines
