System Administrator (Windows) | Full-time contract | Athens - GR
Your daily work routine will include:
- Extract customer’s requirements and design services according to requirements;
- Define and coordinate the delivery of IT services by effectively applying the IT service management procedures;
- Optimise the delivery of services making efficient use of internal and outsourcing contracts;
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance to the service descriptions and defined service levels;
- Ensure that the quality of service delivered is assessed according to performance indicators, notably when formal Service Levels Agreements are foreseen;
- Coordinate and manage external contractors; Provide timely and accurate reports;
- Work closely together with all Teams and Units in the Organisation to ensure efficient and seamless interdepartmental cooperation at all levels. Apply the ICT procurement standard practices;
- Know when to jump-in and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment;
- Contribute technically to projects by taking on and completing key deliverables.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology with one year in a relevant position;
- 3+ years' of experience in Database Administration (i.e. Oracle, PostgreSQL), Business Intelligence and Data Integration Platforms (i.e. ODI, SAP BO);
- 3+ years' of experience in windows administration, installation, configuration, debugging os and applications;
- 3+ years' of experience in open source data frameworks (i.e.. Hadoop, Hive, Atlas, Spark, Kafka/Zookeeper, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, KNIME);
- 3+ years’ of experience in managing applications servers (Wildfly, Weblogic);
- 3+ years' of experience in a formal configuration management tool, using Subversion, Git, etc.;
- Experience in configuring domain information utilities, such as Active Directory, LDAP and DNS;
- Familiarity with Reverse Proxies (Apache, F5), Load Balancing (Apache, F5, CITRIX NetScaler, Radware/Alteon, A10, etc.), Firewalls and VPN systems (Juniper, CISCO);
- Familiarity with one or more of the following popular scripting languages: Powershell, Python, Bash;
- Familiarity with automation workflows/routines using industry leading tools, including OpenSource Tools (Chef/Puppet/ Jenkins/Vagrant/Ansible) or Vendor Based Tools (HPSA/OO, vCAC, uDeploy);
- Familiarity with Deployment and Monitoring tools (e.g. Jenkins);
- Familiarity with network debugging (packet tracing, capture, etc.);
- Technical documentation skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Advantageous Qualifications: ITIL certification, CISCO certifications: CCSP or CCNP, Red Hat Certified System Administrator; Chef/Puppet certification programs;
- Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2 or higher);
- Good team spirit and accountable for working in a multi-cultural and international environment.
