Trading Platform System Engineer – Cyprus, Greece or Remote

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Trading Platform System Engineer to join our growing team. The purpose of the role is to provide maintenance and support to the MT4/MT5 servers and to key XM systems and projects. The role will also provide opportunities to develop technical and analytical skills. We need a great team player who is results-oriented, has high attention to detail and is comfortable managing priorities.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Install and configure MT4/MT5 Servers
• Ensure the continuous operation and running of the MT4/MT5 systems
• Set up and maintain new and existing financial products
• Troubleshoot system issues, managing system upgrades, document processes and providing technical support for users
• Monitor system performance, availability, backup/restore and continuity of trading platforms, systems & software
• Perform routine audits of the trading platform systems and software
• Perform periodic health and performance checks of all trading platforms and systems
• Work closely with our external associates for resolving issues related to the trading platforms, systems and software

Main requirements:

• BSc/MSc in Information Technology or any other relevant field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position
• Good understanding of the Forex market
• Hands-on experience with trading platforms, especially with MT4/MT5
• Experience with Windows/Linux scripting language will be considered an advantage
• Knowledge in SQL queries will be considered an advantage
• Experience with Zabbix/Graylog/Kibana/New Relic systems will be considered an advantage
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Proactive and efficient with strong organisational skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and work independently
