Trainer in Software Development

PeopleCert is looking for talented trainers to deliver software development courses and be responsible for the excellent A-Z student experience as well as for supportive activities.

As a Trainer in Software Development you tasks will include the following:

  • Deliver high-quality training, following training requirements and specifications (e.g. curriculum, syllabi and lesson plans)
  • Apply appropriate educational methods to actively engage students in the learning process and accommodate their individualised needs
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure students' success in the training program.
  • Assess and grade assignments, exercises, quizzes, and projects in a timely manner. Evaluate students' progress as scheduled
  • Participate in meetings, corporate trainings and events as required
  • Foster productive working relationships with all stakeholders, including the Academic Lead, trainers, students, and administration.
  • Contribute to the development of new, technology-based training courses that meet the high-quality standards of the PeopleCert Academy.
  • Ensure their work and presence is aligned with company’s values “Quality - Passion - Integrity – Innovation,” at all times

What we look for:

  • University Degree in Informatics Technology or relevant field, Postgraduate Degree will be considered a plus
  • Experience working in an enterprise software development role
  • Strong understanding of current technologies, including C#, .NET Core, ADO.NET, WebForms, Dapper, Entity Framework, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, WebSockets, SignalR, MS SQL Server, MSTest, NUnit, xUnit, Selenium, JavaScript, and front-end technologies like Vue.js.
  • Prior teaching/training experience in any of the above technologies is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) testing is preferred
  • Strong crisis management, attention to detail, customer-friendliness, communication, and presentation skills
  • Flexibility and strong time-management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification desired,LanguageCert C2 LTEorC2 IESOL certificate would be a plus)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Well organized, self-driven, flexible and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
