As a member of ICMC’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Director of Support Services leads and manages ICMC’s global support services to maximize operational efficiency and minimize risk in new and ongoing programs.
The scope includes ICMC Headquarters, the U.S. fundraising affiliate, three implementation affiliates, and other offices. The Director supervises the global Finance Team Lead, manages specialized global HR, IT, Supply Chain, and Risk/Compliance consultants and contractors in HQ, and guides the activities of Support Service staff in affiliates.
Support HQ staff and consultants to ensure their contributions to ICMC’s strategy.
Onboard, manage performance, and offboard staff and consultants as appropriate.
Manage contracts of consultants and contractors providing support services.
Work with support service staff in HQ and affiliate offices to:
Build a spirit of service to program participants, the organization, and the strategy.
Ensure transparent and collaborative teamwork.
Grow team capacity through mentoring, training, and internal/external connections.
Foster curiosity and continuous learning.
Identify opportunities to enhance policies and procedures; oversee revisions and implementation.
Ensure commitment and payment authorizations are appropriate and observed.
Develop support service plans aligned with organizational strategies and annual plans.
Ensure development and use of monitoring systems and reports to track efficiency and risk.
Identify and manage enterprise risk, including:
Engagement and coordination with statutory auditors.
Development of an effective insurance program.
Management of serious non-compliance in collaboration with the Secretary General.
Act as Microsoft tenant administrator and global Data Controller.
Optimize information systems and safeguard enterprise data.
Represent support service issues to the ELT and Board.
Co-develop and approve financial and management plans for project proposals with institutional donors.
Ensure donor compliance requirements are understood and observed.
Review donor reports related to support services and address performance gaps.
Facilitate donor audits and ensure issue resolution and closeout.
Ensure full closeout of award-associated support services.

Peer organizations (as related to support services)
Master’s degree in Business Administration and/or a support service specialization (preferably Finance).
Minimum eight years of relevant support service experience; INGO and field experience preferred.
At least four years of direct staff management experience.
Experience leading communities of practice across functions, cultures, and locations.
Experience managing outsourced support services and IT providers.
Experience with donor-funded programs, audits, reporting, and investigations.
Experience representing issues to senior leadership and Boards.
Professional proficiency in English; second language (Arabic, French, Italian, or Greek) is a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 10% internationally.
Experience with ERP systems, MS Office, Adobe Pro, and web conferencing tools.
Strong strategic, analytical, and systems thinking.
