lmw is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer on behalf of a leading greek transportation (courier) company, based in Athens.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Financial Department
  • Supervise all accounting tasks according to Greek legislation
  • Ensure smooth operation of all accounting-related activities
  • Compose financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and manage cash flow through the ERP
  • Perform financial analysis, interpret and present financial data for effective decision making
  • Review activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives
  • Act as company's representative towards the authorities
  • Participate in business development actions by engaging in key client activities and close business deals in collaboration with the other departments
  • Review processes, propose and implement optimization and automation actions to increase company's efficiency
  • Liaise with providers, clients, be involved in investment programs and other programs related to the operations and the personnel
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and labor legislation

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar managerial role
  • University degree in Economics; master's degree will be a plus.
  • A class accounting signatory license is mandatory.
  • Proficient use of English both verbal and written
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office and ERP software, Entersoft will be highly valued.
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards (GAS) and experience in preparing financial statements according to GAS
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek Code of Accounting Books and Records
  • Good knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IFRS) and experience in presenting financial results according to IFRS
