MGallery selects unique properties with passion to gather then into a unique collection of hotels where captivating stories are lived and shared. Positioned within Accor Luxe portfolio, Athens Capital Hotel – MGallery is located in the very heart of Athens on Syndagma square just next to the Parliament House and constitutes the perfect choice for an eco-urban break to discover the city vibes. The hotel features 177 uniquely designed rooms and suites, a restaurant, a lobby lounge bar and rooftop pool sky bar, swimming pool and convertible function spaces for meeting and social events.

Position overview:

  • Welcomes guests and fosters customer loyalty though his/her friendly manner
  • Handles and resolves any guest complaints
  • Provides guests with a single point of contact throughout their stay
  • The role includes Checking and Checking out Guest
  • Working in the Food and Beverage outlets including Breakfast, Bar, Lunch and Dinner

Job duties:

Main responsibilities

Customer Relations

  • Provides a friendly and personalised welcome for guests
  • Offers an attentive service to guests, adapting to each guests specific requirements
  • Heeds any remarks made by guests and ensures follow-up
  • Promotes the hotels F&B and leisure offers
  • Conveys the image of the hotel and the hotel brand

Professional techniques / Production

  • Carries out all operation concerning guest arrival and departure in compliance with internal procedures
  • Informs guests about the formalities, any special conditions relating to their stay and the services available
  • Handles phone calls and Reservations
  • Applies the procedure of internal audit
  • Passes on information as necessary to other departments (floor staff, technical etc) and to other members of the Guest Services Team
  • Ensures that all guests documentation is up-to-date and available to support Back Office Expert
  • Handle reservations
  • Serve in all Food & Beverage areas
  • Be familiar with the local area and ready to recommend local services to guests

Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment

  • Ensures that the workplace remains clean and tidy and the safety of consumable goods by always respecting HACCP regulations
  • Respects instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment used
  • Applies the hotels security regulations (in case of fire etc)
  • Respects the hotel commitments to the “Environment Charter” (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc)

Profile:

Education / Professional experience

  • Vocational certificate or diploma in F&B, or bar work and/or anyone eager to work in the sector regardless of their educational background, pending validation of their skills and motivation.
  • Languages: fluent in the national language, business English and a 3rd language would be a plus

  • Guest oriented, service minded and attention to quality
