Housekeeping Manager

Helea is a stunning family beach resort complex overlooking the sea with 503 rooms. Situated at one of the most distinguished seafronts of the island, Kalithea, it is only 10 min away from the Old Town of Rhodes. A new lavish and vivid beach resort that welcomes families from around the world in a world where comfort and fun are bridged.

Position Summary:

The Housekeeping Manager ensures that all long-term goals for the housekeeping department are met. Manages and directs all activities relating to housekeeping and laundry to maximize revenue, profitability and quality goals of the Housekeeping department. This will be done by developing and executing strategies, controlling costs and by providing quality service and products to our guests.

Scope:

  • Reports to the General Manger
  • Assign duties to members of staff
  • Inspect the territory within the resort to ensure it meets the best practice throughout the organization
  • Develop standards for prospective members of his department and rating the work
  • Listen to customers’ complaints and ensure that the complaints are addressed efficiently and effectively
  • Responsible for ensuring dirty laundries are timely and appropriately cleaned
  • Order supplies for the housekeeping department
  • Ensure efficient use of departmental resources
  • Direct all housekeeping activities
  • Organize on-the job training and evaluate its effectiveness
  • Maintain good relationship with customers and/or clients and suppliers of housekeeping items
  • Maintain good relationship with managers of other units in the organization

Prerequisites:

  • Three or more years working experience in a similar role at a 5-star hotel
  • Degree/Diploma in Tourism
  • Excellent knowledge of English language
  • A second language (French, German, Russian, or Italian) will be considered as a plus
