Production & Packaging Shift Supervisor

We seek to recruit for Avlonas H&B BU:

Production & Packaging Shift Supervisor



The position holder will be required to coordinate the effective operation of Production teams of his/her shift in order to:

  • Implement successfully production plan
  • Achieve daily production targets
  • Ensure compliance with GMP rules

Duties and Responsibilities:

The position reporting directly to the Head of Production & Packaging, is responsible for the overall coordination of Manufacturing Team at Avlonas BU, and in particular shall:

  • Supervise and coordinate all processes on a daily shift basis
  • Ensure that products are produced according to production plan in the frame of quality and quantity
  • Responsible for the implementation of H&S guidelines within the department
  • Ensure and coordinate continuous training of personnel within the department
  • Participate in the preparation and coordination of production validation process
  • Participate in Inspections (Internal, Health Authorities, and Customers) as requested
  • Responsible of continuous improvement actions
  • Ensure that documentation is properly recorded and signed by responsibe personel
  • Monitor production and packaging areas and equipment maintenance
  • Participate in the Production Plan composition
  • Identify process improvement opportunities

In collaboration with Quality Assurance department, the position shall also:

  • Participate in definition and approval of production written processes
  • Monitor and report deviation from current procedures, root cause analysis and evaluation of impact on production
  • Implement corrective actions according to company’s policies and regulations, within respective timelines

Profile / Skills:

  • Fluent in English (advanced oral and written skills).

Academic Background:

  • University Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Pharmacy

Special Knowledge:

  • Advanced PC skills: (MS skills- especially word, excel, PowerPoint)


  • Minimum 2-3 years of pharmaceutical or cosmetic industry experience, in Production/ Packaging supervising role
  • Soft skills on continuous improvement, problem solving, results oriented, time management
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Good communication skills (oral and written) to convey production guidelines/targets in an inspiring manner highly acceptable and understandable to the team
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Working effectively within deadlines
