The IRC works in Greece from July 2015 responding and providing aid to refugees and migrants. The IRC’s programming in Greece currently focuses on Protection, Mental Health & PSS, Water and Sanitation & Economic Recovery & Development and in Athens, and Lesvos & Chios islands.
Scope of work:
IRC Hellas supports vulnerable refugee and host communities in Athens to access income generation through employment and self-employment. Working with employment and business development service providers the IRC supports access to job counseling, legal counseling, job referral, life skills, vocational training, on the job training and microenterprise support – directly and in collaboration with partners. IRC Hellas and partners will offer integration courses for refugees residing in Athens. The IRC is recruiting Soft Skills Educators to be responsible for delivering a training module covering topics related to cultural orientation, life skills and job readiness to facilitate social and economic integration.

External: Chambers of Commerce, Businesses and Business development entities, Vocational Training Providers, Peer and partner agencies, program partner organizations, relevant working groups; local and national government entities
This position will be based out of the partner’s offices in Athens, Greece
