Within our Information Management (IM) department of the European Patent Office, we deliver IT services to many thousands of patent examiners, support staff and other involved parties, not only in-house, but worldwide.
The IM department of the European Patent Office (EPO) has some 400 permanent staff, as well as a number of managed service providers, working on IT and information processing, with a professional and proactive focus on supporting the EPO's different business processes.
IM is organised according to the Plan/Build/Run model and functions as a Matrix Organisation.
As IT specialist, you will work on challenging projects in areas such as IT infrastructure, networking and VoIP technology, information retrieval and management systems and application/data/process integration.
The ideal candidates will have professional experience and specialist knowledge as well as being able to work efficiently in a multicultural environment.
Salary and Benefits:
The EPO offers competitive salaries, an excellent social package, and varied work in a modern international environment. The net (basic) monthly salary* for this vacancy ranges from EUR 5 317,77 to 7 530,93, depending on experience. In addition, depending on their personal circumstances, EPO staff may be entitled to relocation benefits and various allowances (e.g. household, dependant's, childcare, education, expatriation, installation and rent allowance).
* after deduction of EPO internal tax and before deduction of staff contributions to the social-security and pension schemes.
Process and Timeline:
The successful candidates will be selected on the basis of qualifications, supplemented as appropriate by interviews, tests and/or a personality questionnaire.
It is intended to hold the interviews in May/June 2017 in The Hague or Munich.
