Restaurant Waiter – Ios Island

The five-star Liostasi Hotel & Suites, the top hotel of Ios Island and one of the leading boutique hotels of Greece, is looking for a Restaurant waiter. The newly upgraded Liostasi Hotel & Suites is part of the Denaxas Group of Companies and a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Responsibilities:

• Provides a high standard of restaurant services.
• Guiding guests through menus while demonstrating thorough knowledge of the food, beverages and ingredients.
• Contributes to restaurant guest satisfaction through the quality of his/her work and exemplary behavior.
• Helps increase the restaurant's revenue through his/her sales effort.
• Providing friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to return.
• Handles guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
• Fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
• Ensures that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
• Monitors operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.

Requirements:

• Relevant education, training in fine dining restaurants will be considered an added value.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a 5* boutique hotel.
• Good knowledge offine dining service.
• Excellent command of both English and Greek.
• Knowledge of French language will be considered as an asset.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic.
• Knowledge of Micros.
• Excellent communication skills, with strong customer-focused approach.
• Dealing with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• The ability to multi task and work well in a high volume work environment.
• Well-groomed with strong interpersonal skills.
