Junior Developer / E-commerce

Founded in 1988, Express Publishing is one of the leading publishing companies, producing a wide variety of English Language Teaching materials. Our company has enjoyed rapid growth with a current list of over 3500 titles that are exported to over 100 countries.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic Junior Developer with experience on e-commerce to join our Marketing team in Athens. The ideal candidate will take initiative, collaborate with multiple departments, gain a deep understanding of customer challenges, be data-driven and coordinate the work of others to deliver positive digital customer experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand and influence the marketing and commerce strategy
• Stay up-to-date on advancements in commercial and web systems
• Understand customer requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs
• Conduct business analysis and research to determine opportunities for improvement and impact of issues to the business
• Establish strong partnership and collaboration with agile business team, marketing and sales teams
• Development and maintenance of corporate micro sites /website / e-shop.

Requirements:

• Degree in Business, Computer Science or relevant field
• Experience in an e-commerce team would be a plus
• Familiarity with e-shop content management (taxonomies, product categories, product attributes)
• Familiarity with product availability and price maintenance, for single product and via mass import
• Familiarity with known CMS platforms
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel
• Knowledge of VBA for applications (MS Excel) will be considered a plus
• Knowledge of T-SQL and familiarity with an RDBMS (MySQL)
• Experience in Data Warehousing and data migration will be considered a plus
• Knowledge of an email marketing platform (Moosend, Mailchimp, etc)
• Fluency in English
